Motorists were facing delays on Tuesday morning after a crash on the M6.
Emergency services were called to the northbound carriageway between J32 and J33, between Broughton and Galgate.
Police said there was a collision involving one car, a white mini, and it is thought a lane was closed.
North West Motorway Police were dealing with the crash, which happened at about 6.45am.
Vehicles were moved to the hard shoulder and traffic was moving slowly in the area.
